2. About this site

Kinreo is a technical demonstration with an informational purpose. It presents publicly available information about skilled trades certification processes in Canada, aimed in particular at internationally trained workers.

The public pages contain no forms, no account creation, no registration and no transactions. You do not need to provide us with anything to consult them.

This site does not constitute legal advice and does not replace the official sources it links to.

3. Information collected

3.1 Information requested by Kinreo

Browsing the public pages requires no personal information: Kinreo creates no user profile or record from your browsing. Technical information is nonetheless processed automatically as part of hosting, as described below.

The only exception is the optional “Which trade would you like to see?” form. It records the requested trade, the province if you choose one, the language and the originating page. It asks for no name, email or other identity information; please do not enter personal information in the text field. These responses are used only to prioritize upcoming guides. They are retained for 12 months in the service's database, hosted by Supabase in Canada, then deleted automatically.

3.2 Technical information processed as part of hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. As with any website, technical information is processed automatically each time a page is served, including:

• your IP address and an approximate location derived from it;
• the date and time of the request;
• the address of the page requested;
• information about your browser and system configuration ("user-agent").

This information is processed for operational, security and abuse-prevention purposes. Kinreo does not use it to identify you, does not cross-reference it with any other source, and puts it to no commercial or advertising use.

4. Cookies and local storage

Kinreo's public pages set no cookies and use no local storage mechanism in your browser.

No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking tools are integrated into the site.

5. Hosting and place of processing

Kinreo's server functions are configured to run in Vercel's Montréal region (yul1 / ca-central-1).

This configuration does not mean that all processing remains in Canada. Vercel operates a global infrastructure whose points of presence receive requests, and states that information may be stored, processed or transferred to the United States or other jurisdictions. Vercel Inc. is a company established in the United States and subject to U.S. law, which may in some circumstances give rise to access to data by foreign authorities.

6. Disclosure to third parties

Kinreo does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and discloses none of it for advertising purposes.

The technical information necessary for the site to function is, however, processed by Vercel Inc., which may in turn rely on its own providers (infrastructure, network, security), in accordance with its contractual obligations and applicable policies.

The site contains links to external sites (government bodies, trades regulators, training institutions). This policy does not apply to those sites, which are governed by their own practices.

7. Your rights

Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you have, among others, a right of access to and rectification of personal information concerning you and, where applicable, the right to withdraw your consent to its use or disclosure. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Kinreo creates no record or user profile from your consultation of the public pages. A request may nonetheless be sent to us at the address given in section 1: we will respond within the timeframes provided by law and, where applicable, follow up with our hosting provider.

You may also exercise certain rights directly with Vercel Inc., in accordance with its own privacy notice.

8. Confidentiality incidents

In the event of an incident involving personal information and presenting a risk of serious injury, the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec would be notified in accordance with the law.

9. Changes

This policy may be amended, in particular if new site features come to process personal information. The update date appears at the top of the document. Any substantial change will be noted on this page.
